About Songjiacheng

Songjiacheng Sports and Leisure Park is a national AAAA level scenic spot located in the core area of Shugang Shouxihu Scenic Area in Yangzhou. It has convenient transportation, open green space, and beautiful ecology, covering an area of more than 1000 acres. At the end of 2012, the old sports stadium located by the bank of Shouxi Lake was demolished due to aging venues and urban development plans. The old sports stadium has always been the main venue for sports activities of urban residents, meeting their daily leisure and fitness needs. The Municipal Party Committee, The municipal government has decided to transform Songjiacheng, located only one kilometer away from the old sports stadium and in the core area of Shugang Slender West Lake Scenic Area, into a sports and leisure park for citizens to relax and exercise after demolishing the old sports stadium. The project construction has been included in the 2013 People's Livelihood "No.1 Document". On April 19, 2014, the Songjiacheng Sports and Leisure Park, which integrates ecology, leisure, sports, and culture, officially began operation.
